In Guidance and Psychological Counseling Program within the Faculty of Education, the bachelor, master’s and doctorate programs are offered.
Undergraduate Program
Guidance and Psychological Counseling program aims to improve individuals’ personal, social, educational, academic and career development and to train psychological counselors who can support people’s well-being in daily life. In this context, various theoretical and practical courses are offered. The language of program is Turkish, there is no preparatory class and the whole program lasts four years.
Master’s Program
Graduates of Guidance and Psychological Counseling program and Department of Psychology can apply to the MA program in Guidance and Psychological Counseling. This program aims to train experts in counseling. The Master’s program is enriched with special areas of expertise such as school counseling, career counseling and family and marriage counseling. The duration of the master’s program without thesis is 1.5 years (3 semesters) and 2 years (4 semesters) with thesis. The language of program is Turkish.
Doctorate Program
Guidance and Psychological Counseling Ph.D. program, which is open to the graduates of MA students in Guidance and Psychological Counseling program and Clinical Psychology, is enriched with special areas of expertise, such as school, career and family and marriage counseling just like Master’s program. The duration of the program is 4 years (8 semesters) and the language of program is Turkish.
